This isn’t about telling you not to drink. It’s about helping you stay in the driver’s seat if you do.
Mindful drinking isn’t about cutting out alcohol completely. It’s about choosing with intention, staying present, and avoiding that all-too-familiar spiral of “I said I wouldn’t… but I did.”
So if you’ve got plans this weekend and drinking is on the cards, try this:
Set your drink intentions inside the Mind The Sip Calendar
Decide now how many drinks you feel good about — and how you want to feel the next day. Enter these into the planned drinks field. It’s much easier to stick to a plan that actually exists.
Turn on “Keep Me Accountable”
If you’re heading to an event, activate the in-app support so we can check in 30 minutes after you arrive. Sometimes that little reminder is all it takes to pause and reset.
Know your tipping point
There’s usually a moment — one too many, or a round you didn’t plan for — where things flip. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s awareness. Catch the moment. Course-correct if you need to.
Reflect, don’t ruminate
No matter how the night went, take 60 seconds to check in the next day. Open the app, update your entry with the actual drinks consumed, jot a quick note in your journal, and notice how you feel — physically, mentally, emotionally. It’s not about judging yourself, it’s about staying aware and building trust.
You don’t have to swear off alcohol forever.
But being mindful about what (and how much) you drink can make a real difference — to your energy, your mood, your sleep, your confidence, and how you feel come Monday morning.
You’re allowed to have a great weekend and feel good about it afterward.
